Certification and grading are stone-specific. Where applicable, VRS can present recognized laboratory documentation alongside the diamond so clients can review its quality characteristics before purchase.

Independent laboratory reports can document a diamond's natural status and quality characteristics. GIA, for example, reports on the 4Cs and can provide additional services such as origin reporting for eligible natural diamonds.
The 4Cs
Color, clarity, cut and carat weight provide a common language for communicating diamond quality.
Report-backed
For certified stones, the laboratory report number and grading information provide a documented reference for the individual diamond.
Origin
For eligible stones, origin reporting can add information about geographic origin when scientific matching is possible.
Certification language is based on GIA's published natural-diamond grading and report services. VRS does not claim GIA certification for its company or every diamond unless the specific stone has a verifiable GIA report.
