The London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) maintains Good Delivery standards for gold and silver bars used in the Loco London market. These standards cover specifications including fine weight, purity and physical appearance.
Bar Weight
Good Delivery gold bars have a permitted fine-gold content range of approximately 350–430 troy ounces.
Identification
Good Delivery bars carry required markings such as a refiner mark, fineness, serial number and applicable manufacture information.
Responsible Sourcing
LBMA Good Delivery refiners are subject to responsible-sourcing requirements and ongoing market oversight.
